You can chat about your inspiration\, the technical side of the shot\, or just the narrative that makes those images special. SUMMARY:George Robertson my photography and my work in the mountains.
DESCRIPTION:A photographic record of a journey into the remote regions of Gilgit – Baltistan and the Karakoram mountains \nA challenging travel/mountaineering photography journey over three weeks\, at high altitude\, on the Baltoro Glacier in the Karakoram mountains of Northern Pakistan where 4 of the worlds 14 – 8000m peaks lie. The Karakoram mountains\, however\, are very distinctive while most of the worldÕs highest peaks are blanketed in snow and ice\, the Karakoram is an exception. The mountains are vertical jagged outlines of granite spires glistening in the sun on slopes that are often too steep for snow to lie. The Baltoro Glacier is one of the worlds longest outside of the polar regions and our journey follows the glacier into the mountains. All of these aspects combine to make this a truly fascinating and photogenic region which has been visited by many of the world leading photographers including Vittoria Sello and Galen Rowell.

We're excited to announce our next photo walk\, which will take us to the beautiful coastal town of Eastbourne on Friday\, July 11th. \nEastbourne offers a fantastic array of photographic opportunities\, from its iconic Victorian architecture to its dramatic natural landscapes. We've put together a diverse route that will cater to all types of photography genres\, whether you're into architectural details\, street photography\, landscapes\, seascapes\, or abstract compositions. \nWe understand that a weekday outing might be challenging for some members who work\, as taking time off during the week can be difficult. However\, we’d love for as many of you as possible to join us. If you’re able to book a day’s holiday\, we’d be delighted to have you come along and make it a truly memorable day of photography. \nRegarding travel\, we will finalise the arrangements closer to the date. We'll explore options such as travelling by train or organising car shares to ensure everyone can get there conveniently. \nThis is a fantastic opportunity to explore new locations\, practice your skills\, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow club members. We’re eagerly looking forward to seeing the images you create and showcasing them at next season’s club evenings. \nPlease RSVP by July 1st so we can get an idea of numbers.
